Soldier's food.
Regiment
Basic unit of the British Army, often named after the county where it recruited its soldiers, eg Northumberland Fusiliers.
Regimental Numbers
Every soldier is given a number. During WW1, some had numbers prefixed (starting) with their battalion number eg 18-456 or 19-345.
Regulars
Full-time professional soldiers.
Respirator
Official name for gas mask.
