George (1) Slasor

George Slasor served with the 12th (Service) Battalion DLI during the Great War. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal during the Battle of the Somme "for conspicuous gallantry in action" at Le Sars in October 1916. His 1914-15 Star and Victory Medal are also in the Medal Room, in Case 3. See also Slasor, George (2).
