John Noble

Born in Springwell, Gateshead, John Noble served with the 12th (Service) Battalion DLI during the Great War and was awarded the Military Cross in September 1917 during the Third Battle of Ypres "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty while in charge of a platoon carrying material to the front line."
