Daniel Starkey

Few records for this soldier have survived but he seems to have enlisted, as a Private, in the 1 Battalion 47 Regiment in 1803 and transferred to the 2 Battalion 47 Regiment in 1804. In August 1806, he volunteered for the 68 Regiment and served in the Peninsular War at Salamanca, Vittoria, Pyrenees, St. Sebastian, Nivelle and Orthes. Daniel Starkey was discharged in December 1814.
