James Spratt

Born in Canada in 1827, he was commissioned in the 35 Regiment in 1846 and joined the 68 LI as a Captain in 1855. He fought in New Zealand and took part in the the attack on Gate Pah. James Spratt retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1876 and died in 1896.
