Edward Selby

Born in Sunderland, he was a carter and a Militiaman in 4 DLI before he enlisted as a Regular in 1894, aged 18 years. After two years with 1 DLI in England, he was posted to 2 DLI in India. He fought in South Africa with the Burma Mounted Infantry. He joined the Reserve in 1902 and was discharged in 1906.
