There are few records for this soldier, but Corporal Griffin of 2 DLI served with the Tirah Expeditionary Force in India, 1897-98, with the Commissariat Transport Department. Only 12 officers and men of 2 DLI took part in this expedition. All were employed on transport or hospital duties.
