Biography

Born in County Derry, he was a labourer before he enlisted in the 68 Regiment in August 1810. He fought at Salamanca and Vittoria, and was wounded in the mouth, possibly at the battle of Vittoria on 21 June 1813. He was discharged in February 1815 as a Chelsea Hospital Out Patient, with a pension of 1 shilling per day.
