John Don

He enlisted at Leeds in the 68 LI in February 1864, aged 19 years. He sailed for New Zealand in February 1865 and was rapidly promoted, becoming a Sergeant by March 1866. In late 1866, he was imprisoned and reduced to Private. John Don was discharged in 1871.
