G Cleghorne

Few records for Private Cleghorne have survived, but he probably enlisted as a Private in 2 DLI in January 1885. He served in Egypt in the Durham Company of Mounted Infantry. This unit, under the command of Lieutenant de Lisle, was 30 strong and fought in many small actions in late 1885.
