Thomas Cail

Born in Carlisle, he was a tailor and a volunteer in the Cumberland Militia before he joined the 68 LI in 1855, aged 21 years. He served for 21 years in the 68 LI, as a Private, and fought in New Zealand. Thomas Cail received the Long Service & Good Conduct Medal and was discharged in 1877.
