John Bayford

He enlisted as a Private in 2 DLI at Dublin in 1882. He served in Gibraltar and Egypt and fought at the battle of Ginnis on 30 December 1885. In late 1886, he left Egypt for England and, after a brief time with 1 DLI at Colchester, he took his discharge in July 1887 and joined the Army Reserve.
