Albert Frederick Clark

Born in April 1894 in Bensham, Gateshead, Albert Clark served in the 9th (Territorial) Battalion DLI during the Great War. Private Clark was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in 1916, one of the first awarded to his battalion. After the war, Albert Clark worked as a coal miner. He died in May 1980.
