J Eales

9381 Private J Eales was a Volunteer with "A" Company 2nd Volunteer Battalion DLI based at Bishop Auckland. During the Boer War, he served in South Africa with the 3rd Volunteer Service Company attached to the 1st Battalion DLI from April to July 1902. He was entitled to the bars "Transvaal" and "South Africa 1902" but both have been lost.
