Thomas Scott

Born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1879, Thomas Scott joined The Durham Light Infantry as a Boy Soldier in 1893. After service with the 2nd Battalion DLI in India, he transferred to the 1st Battalion DLI and saw active service in South Africa during the Boer War. Thomas Scott again saw active service during the First World War and was in the Home Guard during the Second World War. Thomas Scott died in Gateshead in 1955.
