Biography | Medals | GlossaryBiography
Born in Edinburgh, he was a shoemaker before he enlisted, as a Private, in the 68 Regiment in December 1807, aged 18 years. He fought at Salamanca, Vittoria and Pyrenees and was wounded in the chest at Vera on 31 August 1813. After his recovery, he returned to the 68 Regiment and completed nearly 21 years service. Robert Frazer was discharged in Canada in August 1828, aged 39 years, as he was no longer fit for service because of rheumatism.
