Ernest Booth

From Glossop, Derbyshire, he first joined The Green Howards in April 1942 before transferring to the DLI in June 1943 and rising to the rank of Company Quartermaster Sergeant. He fought in both North Africa and Sicily, where he was wounded in 1943.
