Arthur Edwards

Born in Aberdeen, Private Arthur Edwards was awarded the Delhi Durbar Medal in 1911 - one of 104 men of 1 DLI to receive this medal. This medal commemorates the proclamation of King George V as Emperor of India at Delhi in December 1911. 1 DLI took part in this event. He went on to fight in WW1 and was killed in action on 10th June 1915, aged 27. He is buried in Potijze Burial Ground Cemetery in Belgium.
