Biography | Medals | Citation | In Memoriam | GlossaryCitation
"For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. With his commanding officer he mopped up a "pill box" and captured two enemy machine-guns and a team of three men who had been causing numerous casualties. On the commanding officer and adjutant becoming casualties, he took over the duties of adjutant and caused another subaltern to command the battalion, thereby keeping it from becoming disorganised."
