The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was formed in 2001 by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) to oversee military activities in Afghanistan. Around 65,000 troops from over 20 countries currently serve in Afghanistan under ISAF control. The writing in Pashto underneath means `Help and Cooperation¿.
