Courageous Constraint
Mk6A helmet
Made from interwoven layers of ballistic nylon, this helmet was worn by Rifleman Kyle Baker when he was hit by enemy small-arms fire whilst on patrol on November 5 2009. The Mk6a helmet is shown with the desert pattern cover on. The mounting on the front is for a night-vision scope and on the side is an infra-red transmitter designed to make the wearer obvious to allied units wearing night vision goggles.
