Trophy Musketry Shield


Musketry Shield, 1st Battalion DLI, 1897-1961. This is 'The Durham Light Infantry Inter Company Musketry Challenge Shield'. It was first awarded in 1897. This large shield is made of black-painted wood with a bronze central area and the '68' badge and battle honours in silver. Around the edge are silver scrolls with the names of the winners between 1897 and 1961. Acc No: 1556
