Tunic, 5th Volunteer Battalion DLI


Officer's Full Dress Tunic, 5th Volunteer Battalion DLI, 1887-1902. This scarlet jacket has dark green facings (collar and cuffs), silver buttons and Captain's rank badges on the shoulders. The white leather cross belt has a silver badge and whistle. The 5th Volunteer Battalion DLI had its Headquarters in Gateshead. It became the 9th (Territorial) Battalion DLI in 1908. Acc No: 207/1&2
