John Thomas Barron

John Thomas Barron was born in 1903. He was educated at Shotton Boys School before moving to Hendon. He married Josephine, the couple living in Sunderland. He joined the Territorial Army attached to the 7th Battalion DLI on 29 January 1923 at Sunderland, and was discharged 20 January 1930. During the Second World War he served with the searchlight division of the Royal Artillery, enlisting at Sunderland on 10 February 1939, and being discharged on 28 July 1943.
