Biography

Born in 1896, he served in The Royal Fusiliers before he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1917 and attached to the 14th (Service) Battalion DLI. He served with the Royal Army Service Corps during the Second World War, finally retiring in 1947. In civilian life, he was a radio and electrical dealer in Gatley in Cheshire.
